For two years (1978–1979), he performed as a solo mime at the Laterna Magika theatre in Prague. He was also engaged as an actor at Prague’s Ypsilon Theatre. In 1979, he founded the Mimtrio ensemble, which became famous throughout Czechoslovakia thanks to its appearances on numerous television entertainment shows between 1985 and 1989.
